I'm AJ, based in Cambridge. I build hand-coded websites for UK trade businesses. Since launching AJ Web Design in 2024, I've built over 20 sites for plumbers, electricians, builders, barbers, and personal trainers across Cambridge and the UK.

Every site is hand-coded in HTML — no WordPress, no Wix, no page builders. I write the code from scratch so there's no bloat, no unnecessary plugins, and nothing slowing it down.

Before any site ships, I test it on a real iPhone and Android phone. I check load speed, click-to-call, and how it looks on every screen size. Every site I build scores 95 or above on Google PageSpeed Insights. This one scores 100.

Istanbul Barbers Cambridge — barbershop in central Cambridge. Built to bring in local walk-in and appointment bookings from Google search.

How I work

It starts with a 15-minute phone call. I learn about your business, your services, and what makes you different from the competition.

Then I build. Design and code in under a week. You get a preview link to check everything before it goes live — nothing is published without your sign-off.

When you're happy, it goes live. You own everything: the files, the domain, the content. No monthly fees for the website. No platform dependency. No lock-in.
